"The love in our family flows strong and deep, leaving us memories to treasure and keep."
As you know, my name is Kerry. I'm a small town girl at heart. Born and raised in a little map dot town in southern Virginia that I lovingly refer to as basically Alabama. I spent my 20 somethings bouncing around the state a bit and even ventured out to Colorado for an extended stay with that fella I'm standing next to. Our family calls the Blue Ridge Mountains home now and spend our days in beautiful Roanoke, Virginia.
My maternal grandfather always called children "chaps". I was fortunate to have him as a constant in my life through out my childhood and since he's not here to call these kiddos wild chaps, I have decided to do it for him. These two kiddos are my world. I wouldn't dare lie to you and say being a boy momma is easy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!
Our family LOVES the outdoors. During the spring, summer & fall you will find us on the trail, out in the back yard, or at a playground! Winter can give us cabin fever but lucky for us, Virginia is known to have random 60-70 degrees days through out the winter months. We do love a good snow day though, my hubby is from Colorado after all!
If there is any way possible for you to do so, I encourage you to travel. Even if its just a day trip to somewhere in your state you have never been before, do it. Travel is SO GOOD for the soul. I was fortunate to be able to travel through out the country quite a bit during my childhood thanks to my father's work in his union. It opened my heart and mind from a very young age and I 100% plan to give my children the same gift of awareness. It would be nice if Dad was still paying though...
